Guys, after much and much, I took off from Lagos for the Jaipur Literature Festival. I'm currently updating from Doha, Qatar, where we've made a stop-over. We were supposed to be here for some few hours and then head for Delhi. But the airline said the weather in Delhi is so bad that we have to stay here for so long and then, that means, I will get to Jaipur late, having already thought that I would meet up with Soyinka's reading today, since I missed that of yesterday.
The airport is so noisy, but beautiful. It's unlike our horrible Murtala Muhammad airport in Lagos that charges a lot and still offers nothing. I wouldn't like to delve into comparison here, because this for sure will depress me.
As I promised, I will keep you updated about Jaipur.
However, my publisher is also here with me - with Adenike Fagade of PDF. Three of us hope to make it to Jaipur in one piece.
Oh, I didn't tell you that the food was also good.
And yes, as the last person, I finally saw DISTRICT 9 and honestly think it's disgusting. It has nothing to do with its portrayal of Nigerians. I think the movie was contentiously bad and awkward!
